The In Between…

There are many moments I could tell you about from that 10K—the ringing of cow bells at the start, the points when quitting felt tempting, the rush of crossing the finish. Each mattered, but the place that stays with me is the stretch just before the finish line. That “in-between” is where everything converges.

I hear the crowd, I spot my husband, and all the pieces align: the memory of every time I considered stopping, the tug-of-war between mind and body, the queasy lift in my throat. Then something shifts — a surrender of doubt, a quiet refusal to give up. Hope and determination hold steady together in that instant, and accomplishment arrives with them.

Isn’t life like that? Not every moment is dramatic. It’s the in-between places, where resistance and resolve meet, that shape the outcome. Reflect well, friends.
