Finding Strength: Body, Mind, and a New Beginning

When I moved to the USA, I didn’t expect just how hard it would be, not just the move itself, but everything that came with starting over in a new country. I was dealing with burnout from work, mental exhaustion, and the overwhelming feeling of being far from everything familiar. My mind was tired, and so was my body. I felt lost, and honestly, I wasn’t sure where to begin picking myself back up.

Then I met Song.

It’s hard to put into words how much that changed my life. She wasn’t just a personal trainer — she became a guide, a motivator, and a true friend. Every session we had together felt like a step toward healing. She didn’t just throw random workouts at me — she saw me. She listened. She understood what my body needed and also what my heart and mind were going through. Each time we trained together, she reminded me that I was capable. That I was strong. That I was worth investing in.

Little by little, my body started to feel better. And with that, something shifted mentally too. I started to feel hope again. I started to feel inspired. Song helped me reconnect with myself through fitness, but also through her energy, her wisdom, and her kindness. She helped me see wellness as something much bigger than physical strength. It was about rebuilding from the inside out, with self-compassion, patience, and love.

Today, I work as a professional teacher. It’s a role I love deeply — one that gives my life purpose and meaning. But it also requires a lot of me. I show up every day with everything I’ve got — my knowledge, my heart, my energy, and sometimes, it can be overwhelming. Teaching is beautiful and exhausting at the same time.

Without the foundation I built with Song, without her compassion, her wisdom, and the tools she gave me, I’m not sure I’d be able to give as much as I do now. She taught me how to refill my own cup, so I can pour into others without losing myself in the process.

I’m still on my wellness journey, but I don’t feel lost anymore. I feel grounded. I feel stronger. Song continues to inspire me, not just as a coach, but as a woman who truly empowers others to rise. We still share self-care books and thoughts with each other, and she continues to remind me how powerful it is to take care of yourself — body, mind, and spirit.

If you’re reading this and you’re feeling overwhelmed or unsure where to begin, please know this: the right support can change everything. For me, that support was Song. And I’ll always be grateful that our paths crossed when I needed it most.
